What Is Student Massage Therapy?
Student massage therapy is massage provided by students who are currently training to become Registered Massage Therapists. Student treatments are given by supervised senior students who have nearly finished their program. They use the same hands-on techniques taught in their programs, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques and assisted stretching.
Every treatment starts with a conversation about how you’re feeling and what you’d like to focus on, so your session is tailored to you, whether you want to unwind or work on a specific area of tension.
Student Massage Prices

Out of benefits? Student massage is a great way to keep up with regular treatment without paying full price.
Please note: student massage therapists are not eligible for direct billing, and student treatments can’t be claimed through extended health insurance. Payment is due at the time of your visit.

Emma Fonteyne
Student Massage Therapist
Originally from Edmonton, Emma moved to Vancouver to pursue a career in massage therapy. She combines Swedish, deep tissue and myofascial techniques to restore mobility, relieve tension and support relaxation, tailoring each treatment to your goals.
Outside the clinic you’ll find her walking outdoors, working on a puzzle or at the gym.

Meaghan Farina
Student Massage Therapist
Meaghan is a current massage therapy student at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. She is passionate about helping bodies move their best through personalized, patient-centred care.
She uses Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release (MFR), Muscle Energy Techniques (MET) and assisted stretching to help clients reach their movement and relaxation goals.
